It's March. Despite the weather, this means we start to think about Spring and changing up the wardrobe. In England it is currently snowing (crazy I know) yet here I am, thinking about sandal shoes and lightweight coats. The brands I work with are delivering their SS18 collections to the office so I can get my clients set up for the warmer weather ahead. This got me thinking about my own wardrobe and I wanted to share with you guys what I have already invested in and trends I am currently liking.

The Dress

Of course, dresses are always a wardrobe must when the weather gets warmer. A maxi dress is still my love when I am on holiday especially when paired with a basket bag and some sliders. The photo above is a lovely Warehouse option but if you are more adventurous then they have a huge range of gorgeous colour and floral maxi dresses. The wedding season is also upon us and I find that a maxi dress can work so well. You will find some great picks from Warehouse as their styles are always so delicate and elegant - perfect for spring/summer events.

The Slingback

A few weeks ago I spotted these Mango slingback shoes and unfortunately the size 3 were out of stock (I have teeny tiny feet I know). I requested for an email update once they arrived back in my size, which is something I never do. Clearly these meant a lot to me! One morning I received an email letting me know they were now available so I purchased them straight away, even though I was still half asleep at 6.30 AM in the morning! The things we do for shoes.

I liked these shoes a lot because firstly, the design at the front reminded me of the styles Victoria Beckham would create and wear. Secondly, I need to build up my summer shoe collection and I feel these will be really versatile, both with jeans and dresses and day and evening.

I shall style these mainly with Mom or straight leg jeans, a nice top and some sunglasses. Find these Mango beauties here.

The Straight Leg Jean

I recently purchased some straight leg jeans from Topshop, find them hereThese honestly have been such an amazing investment. I have worn them so much! I can easily style these with trainers, boots, heels and now my slingback shoes. Tuck in a nice top or shirt, add some sunglasses and a long coat - my ultimate smart/casual look. Great for wearing at work then straight to dinner/drinks (which is something I seem to do a lot!)

The Slim Cat Eye

Ahh the slim cat eye. This is a look every Blogger is pulling off right now right? I appreciate the look and they can instantly make the perfect outfit selfie. I'm not convinced they will look good on me on an everyday basis. Instead, I will stick to my usual cat eye frames and my round sunglasses - but I really do think these look great. Find these exact ones from Zara, here
