A SHORT YORK STAY

Back in May, myself and my boyfriend, Francis, went away for a short stay in York. I had never been to York before and I had already heard lovely words about this beautiful, historic city.

Of course, the plan was to tick off all tourist activities. We visited the York Castle Museum, Clifford's Tower and the York Dungeon. I took an appreciation for all the wonderful historic buildings and the York Minster.

The day came to an end with a delicious gin before we headed over to our B&B to get ready for the evening.

We started the night off with a Ghost Tour. Greg was our tour guide who told ghostly tales while walking us around the city.

Drinks, amazing company and lovely food followed.

Whitby was the plan for the next day. Our taxi driver the night before recommended us stopping off at Castle Howard on the way. We did exactly that and it did not disappoint. Castle Howard is a very wealthy, stately home in North Yorkshire with a stunning garden. Of course, the whole building is stunning but for me the gardens were beautiful. This little visit started the day off well before we headed for lunch and an ice cream by the seaside.
