At the start of the week me and my family (my parents and my two brothers, one older and one younger) headed over to Ballina, Ireland to celebrate my Uncle getting married to his soulmate. They got married in a stunning castle where the food was delicious and to top it off, an Irish folk band played in the evening which really gave it that Irish, country feel.

I haven't been to a wedding in years. I was so young at previous ones that I barely remember them! I had no idea what to wear. Four dresses from ASOS and two picks from Topshop, I finally returned everything and settled for this nude/light pink Topshop two piece. I wanted an outfit that would be great for a wedding but also something I could use for more than just one occasion.

To be honest, I was quite surprised I went with something pink, but obviously I couldn't wear black or white. I wanted to feel summery and I was drawn to this colour. It is more of a pearl pink and looks elegant and quite expensive to say it was only from Topshop. It has pleats embedded into the material and pleated clothing is everywhere at the moment. I can wear the trousers on their own with some sliders and a different top, maybe a long duster coat for a more casual day time look. Dress them up and dress them down. Money is not wasted!

So after this week of family time, lots of good food and alcohol (it is Ireland after all!) I feel really content but also really ready to hit the gym! I do have Mexico round the corner afterall.....

To top it off, I think we stole the UK's sun. We had the BEST weather and that never happens over there. We went to the beach, had ice creams and sat outside in the sun. The perfect weather for the perfect couple.

  1. Sounds like it was a fantastic wedding! Great oufit choice :).
