The bedroom post

For a long time I have loved interior and I am forever Pinning and imagining what my dream home would look like. I have always took the time to make any room my own even when I was at University. Back then I was all for the 'shabby chic' look where buntings and floral items made me happy. As I have grown and developed my style I am now (as you may know if you have ever looked at my Living inspiration interior posts) a lover for white and a more minimalist look. As you do, you do the best you can with the budget you have and the situation your in and so here is a room where I have turned into a place where I feel content in the evening with my Yankee candles lit, a cup of tea, my lounge-wear on (currently a 'I woke up like this'  tee)  and tucked up in bed.

Around Nov/Dec I went crazy for faux fur throws and cushions in a soft grey colour with some white coming through. Unbelievably gorgeous and really gave the room that welcoming feel. These were from Next but I now presume they are in the sale or gone as they were a winter edition set. Initials/scrabble letters is another thing I crave for in anything! can set you up with make up bags and mugs with your initial on. I think it's quirky and really makes something your own. My L scrabble mug actually is from eBay and the cushion was handmade by my boyfriend's mum.

Speaking of, this is the place where this amazing picture frame came from where you can choose any song lyric you want placed inside. I wanted Ed Sheeran, 'Thinking Of You' because it is one of my favorite songs (yes I'm also in a cheesy relationship) and well Ed is a babe.
Other pieces in my room that I think helps give such a white space some character is my Urban Outfitters ring stand and the shelf which I am always blogging in front of. Having a staple shelf in your room where you can add bits and bobs to give your room some character is ideal. I stack my ELLE and VOGUE magazines upon it, some hats and shoes so I can view my favorite fashion essentials daily. Basically I just love clothes and accessories in my face. A lot of people these days actually opt for a clothing rail so their clothes are displayed which I think looks fabulousss, so usually I just keep one wardrobe door open with a hat placed onto the corner. (I don't know what it is that makes you feel so good about visually seeing your clothes but it just does) or is this just me? Feel free to comment on that.

Flowers, a Laura Ashley photo frame and my Next buddah candles as well as displaying my huge collection of Body Shop treats(thanks Christmas) also makes the room all come together for me.

So there we have it, some snippets of my room and hopefully I gave anyone some ideas's where to get certain pieces from, or maybe even converted anyone to the white side.

  1. Love how you've decorated your bedroom!
I definitely need to find some faux fur cushions, they look so chic.

  2. Your room is beautiful! Since working in an interiors shop I have always loved greys, whites creams but using different textures and I think you have this down to a T! Very jealous, haha!
